Global steel grating company with operations in Channelview has immediate Direct Hire openings for experienced machine operators. Company offers comprehensive benefits package, safe – rewarding work environment, optional Steel Union, and opportunity for professional growth.

Candidates should have 2 years experience setting up and operating press brakes, slitter, plasma cutting, or evg machines handling coiled or plate steel.

• Pay: 17.00 hr. – 21.00
• Shift: 2nd and 3rd shift
• Must be flexible to work OT, as it occurs regularly.

This position will work within a steel fabrication / shop environment around large equipment and machinery helping to measure, cut materials, load, and fully operate the machines.

The job responsibilities listed above are not all inclusive.

Work extra hours and weekends when required to meet deadlines and delivery expectations.

Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of industrial steel fabrication operation
• Previous experience operating and setting up flat steel cutting/manipulation machines
• 2 years of recent machine operation handling plate or coiled steel.
• 1 year of recent Overhead Crane experience
• MUST be able to work 2nd or 3rd shift.
• Physically able to perform the mechanical duties required which includes lifting as much as forty-five to fifty pounds.
